Rice Leadership Fitness Banquet,” in Atlanta, earning high praise from Fortune 500 executives, NCAA Athletics Directors and National Championship Coaches. A humble student of life, Rick articulates how we find our way through diligence—seeking purpose by serving others with trust and authority.

Recruited nationally out of high school as a multi-sport star, Rick attended Georgia Tech on a football scholarship—a three-year starter, graduating as a Rhodes Scholar candidate.
Along with performers like Mark Harmon, Michael Keaton, Carl Weathers and Tony Danza, Rick traveled nationwide with the Hollywood All-Stars for over a decade, playing celebrity softball games against NFL and NHL players, for a host of MLB Charities.

Rick has starred in over 75 episodes of network television including such hits as CHEERS, MAGNUM P.I, HUNTER, MATLOCK, DUKES of HAZZARD, CHARLIE’S ANGELS, DETOUR, WHERE THE LADIES GO, The CONTENDER, BEACH PATROL, STEELTOWN and Days of Our Lives—as well as such feature films as LIAR,LIAR and EYE of the WIDOW. Rick starred in the ABC-TV series: “Today’s F.B.I,” with the legendary Mike Connors. While working with the Justice Department on each episode, Rick was invited on a tour of the White House during President Ronald Reagan’s administration. Rick has directed multiple episodes of network television including Columbia TriStar’s “Born Free” and “Wilderness Safari.”

Rick has been a guest on ESPN, FOX Sports, Outside the Lines, MSNBC and numerous radio and TV talk shows. He has been a guest speaker for the Dr. Homer C. Rice Leadership Fitness banquet, the Make-A-Wish Foundation golf charities, NFL’s Charities for Children, TSA National Foundation, National Law Day, N.W. Corporate Intelligence, the W.A. Foundation, high school and college sports banquets. Rick was inducted into the PHS Ohio Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
Mentoring and LIFE SKILLS
Rick has had the privilege of mentoring hundreds of young athletes on college, high school and travel-league teams—earning multiple championships and undefeated seasons. He has also worked with dozens of professional athletes. Sharing the philosophy of John Wooden, Rick never stresses “winning” to the players and coaches. Instead, he encourages positive thinking, maximum effort, teamwork, self-discipline and a caring heart—the by-product of “winning” in every phase of Life.
